Offering In-Person and Online Virtual Therapy Appointments throughout Arizona
Pushing yourself to succeed can feel like living in a constant state of forward motion - driven, focused, and ambitious, yet quietly exhausted underneath it all. Long hours, endless responsibilities, and the pressure to perform can leave little room for rest, connection, or simply being human. You may catch yourself sacrificing personal time, relationships, or your own well-being just to keep up. Even as you’re proud of your accomplishments, you might also feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how much longer you can maintain this pace. It’s common to feel torn between the life you’re building and the toll it’s taking to get there. Therapy offers a grounded and compassionate space to untangle the stress and reconnect with yourself. Together, we can create sustainable routines, clearer boundaries, and healthier patterns that support both your success and your well-being. With support, you can pursue the future you’re working so hard for without burning out in the process.
Why High-Achieving Professionals Seek Therapy in Scottsdale, AZ

You may be experiencing a nagging sense of guilt either for not working enough or for not being present with the people you care about.

What we’ll work on
Imagine a life where…
01 You can finally come up for air
We’ll begin by slowing down the pace you’ve been running at for far too long. This is your space to lay it all out (the pressure, the exhaustion, the constant push to keep going.) Together, we’ll identify what’s draining you, what’s driving you, and what’s been missing beneath the productivity and performance.
02 You’re able to rebuild balance from the inside out
Once we understand the patterns and expectations that keep you stuck in overdrive, we’ll work on creating routines and boundaries that actually support your well-being. This is where you start reconnecting with your needs, energy, and values so you can show up for your life, not just your work.
03 You can thrive without burning out
With a clearer sense of what truly matters and healthier habits to sustain you, we’ll shape a path forward that feels aligned and doable (not pressured or overwhelming.) Whether it’s redefining success, strengthening relationships, or reclaiming personal time, you’ll have the tools, structure, and confidence to build a future that doesn’t cost you your peace.
Meet your Scottsdale Therapist
for High-Achieving Professionals
Marissa Kuhl, LCSW
Hi, I’m Marissa Kuhl of Kuhl Mental Health, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly a decade of experience supporting adults navigating the pressures of modern life. I believe that ambition and success don’t have to come at the cost of your well-being, and that even the busiest, most driven professionals can find balance, clarity, and sustainable fulfillment.
I specialize in helping high-achieving individuals who are stretched thin by long hours, heavy responsibilities, and the constant push to perform. Many of my clients come to me feeling exhausted, disconnected from their personal lives, or unsure how to maintain success without sacrificing their health, relationships, or sense of self. Together, we focus on identifying patterns that fuel burnout, establishing routines that support both energy and achievement, and creating boundaries that allow you to thrive both professionally and personally.
Whether you’re striving to succeed without losing yourself, trying to reclaim time for meaningful relationships, or simply looking for a way to breathe again, my approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in empathy. We’ll explore your experiences, address the stressors weighing on you, and develop tools to help you sustain success without burning out.
This work is deeply meaningful to me, and I consider it a privilege to help high-achieving professionals not just cope with pressure, but build lives that feel balanced, purposeful, and fulfilling. Together, we’ll work toward restoring energy, reconnecting with what matters, and creating a path forward where success and well-being coexist.

Even when your schedule is packed and stress feels constant, therapy can provide a dedicated space just for you—a pause from all the demands and pressures. Therapy isn’t about adding more to your plate; it’s about learning to work smarter, not harder, so you can sustain your success while protecting your well-being.
-
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer as therapy is designed to fit your life, not add stress to it. Many high-achieving clients start with weekly or biweekly sessions to build momentum and establish routines, but we can adjust the schedule to match your availability and needs. Even with a busy calendar, consistent support or short check-ins can help you make meaningful progress, reduce overwhelm, and sustain changes over time.

The truth is: yes, it’s absolutely okay. Therapy isn’t only about fixing major problems but it’s also a space for reflection, personal growth, and support, especially during times of change or uncertainty. Talking things through with a therapist can help you clarify your thoughts, uncover feelings you might not have noticed, and prevent smaller worries from becoming overwhelming.

My fee is $175 for the initial 60-minute intake session and for each subsequent 53-minute therapy session. I do not accept insurance directly, but I can provide receipts for you to submit to your insurance company if your plan includes out-of-network benefits.
